Una vacanza da ricordare – A holiday to remember
Stavo pensando: ma siamo sicuri che le mie mappe servano solo a chi sta andando in vacanza in un determinato posto?
No, perché ero qui che stavo finendo la mappa da mettere all’inizio della guida sull’India per il mio caro Tummy, con Lucija davanti a me che stava sistemando le foto dei nostri viaggi e l’email del Fava in mente, che mi ha richiesto una mappa-ricordo del Portogallo, in cui si sta apprestando a passare le sue ferie, e mi sono detto: allora lo vedi che le mie mappe possono anche essere utili per quando uno torna da un viaggio?
Infatti, io penso che un viaggio acquista valore e posizioni nel nostro cuore soprattutto dopo che da quel viaggio siamo tornati, rivedendo le foto, rimangiando le stesse (o quasi) cose caratteristiche del posto in cui siamo stati, e parlandone con i nostri amici. Ma anche, a volte, girando a casa nostra e guardando tutti i souvenir che ci siamo portati dietro.
Oppure, da oggi, anche semplicemente guardando, appesa al muro, la mappa With-Me del vostro ultimo viaggio che Giuse vi ha fatto!

I was thinking: are we sure that my maps are only needed by who goes for holidays in a specific place?
No, because, I was here finishing the map to put on the second page of guide to India for my dear friend Tummy, with Lucija in front of me arranging the photos of our travels and Fava’s e-mail still in my mind, requesting a souvenir-map for Portugal where he’s going to spend his holiday, and I said to myself: you see, so my maps could be used also by someone that has already come back from a trip, no?
Indeed, I personally think that a trip gains value and position in our hearts most of all after we came back home from the travel, upon watching the photos, eating the same (or almost the same) characteristic dishes of the place we’ve visited, and talking about it to our friends. But also sometimes walking around our house, looking at all the souvenirs we brought with us.
Or, from today on, simply looking at the With-Me map of your last trip hanged to the wall, that Giuse made for you!

Una mappa dove segnare solo le città in cui si è stati. Del resto è un po’ quel che fai già. Chi ha detto Portogallo????? Maledizione, il mio cuore è rimasto proprio da quelle parti.

IO PARTO SABATO E TORNO IN SPAGNA QUINDI PENSO CHE NON AVRò MODO DI LEGGERE LA MAIL DELL’ L’ARRIVO DI SOFIA….. NON SONO ANCORA TECNOLOGICA CON LO SMARTPHONE O IPHONE…VI MANDO COMUNQUE INTANTOUN BACIONE E AL RITORNO VOGLIO SAPERE TUTTO!!
